Using GiWi responsibly

Your account

Provide accurate information, protect your phone and one-time codes, and promptly report unauthorized access. You must be legally able to use the service and authorized to act for any organization you represent. GiWi may require manual identity or authority checks before publishing a campaign or moving money.

Campaigns and fundraisers

Organizers are responsible for truthful descriptions, lawful purposes, genuine proof, updates, and using proceeds as stated. Publication is not an endorsement or guarantee. GiWi may request changes, reject, pause, investigate, or remove content to protect users or comply with obligations.

Payments, fees, and refunds

GiWi currently charges the platform percentage disclosed on the fees page; each donation records the applicable rate. Processing fees are separate and passed through at actual cost. Payment availability and timing depend on the selected payment method and provider. Do not repeat a transaction when funds have left your account but confirmation is pending.

A donation refund is not guaranteed merely because a campaign misses its goal. Suspected fraud, duplicate charges, unauthorized payments, or provider errors are reviewed individually. Contact support promptly; reversals may depend on the provider, recipient balance, law, and completed payouts.

Susu circles

Susu participation is a commitment between members, not a savings deposit or guaranteed investment return. Members must review the amount, schedule, payout order, and membership before joining. GiWi records and facilitates confirmed payments but cannot guarantee another member will pay.

Organization payouts

The organization is responsible for recipient authority, accurate mobile-money details, funding, lawful purpose, and approval to send. Drafts can be edited until funding starts. Uncertain payment outcomes remain locked to the original reference to reduce duplicate-payment risk.

Prohibited use

• Fraud, impersonation, money laundering, sanctions evasion, illegal fundraising, or misleading evidence.
• Harassment, exploitation, unlawful discrimination, harmful content, or infringement of another person’s rights.
• Security abuse, automated attacks, credential sharing, or attempts to bypass payment, identity, review, or access controls.

Service limits

GiWi depends on communications, hosting, banking, mobile-money, and payment systems outside its control. We work to reconcile delayed outcomes safely but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions can be sent through Contact.
